Scrap4Life Week 2 and 3 DT challenges

So, I have made it through week 2 and 3, and I am moving on to week 4. That's a super huge accomplishment for me! I thought I would share my creations for weeks 2 and 3. Here is my week 2 challenge. We had to do a themed layout but it could NOT have anything with that theme related aside from color. You could not use Halloween embellies, paper, etc. and this is what I came up with.

Here is my week 3 challenge. For this challenge we had to incorporate a paper piecing into our layout that was paper pieced by us. I, of course, chose my favorite monkey. I have tons and tons of photos of the boys in the tree out back so that is what I used for this one.

Scrap4lLife DT Week 1

These are mostly new creations that I have created with the exception of just a few. I've made it my goal to get as many layouts completed and put some kind of dent into my photo collection, as well as my scrappy supply collection. TFL ... Enjoy!

Sickies Are Gone.. YAAAA!!

Now that I am finally well completely, I am ready to scrap. I have done a couple of things in the last few days. Here are two LO's and a card. I'm not super pleased with the card but I do like it. That is my area I really need to work on (cards).

Here is the card I completed, which is also for a challenge on MMFY (makingmemoriesforyou.org). I'm not super pleased with it but I do like it. This was made from all scraps.

Here is the first LO that I have compelted since recovery, lol. This is for a challenge on my Yahoo group. It was to use buttons. I have used some of my stash up on this LO with the buttons, and the scrap of PP. The cardstock is Bazzill.

Here is the second LO and I did this for a challenge (3 Things) on MMFY (makingmemoriesforyou.org). I'm super happy with the way this one came out. I also used a Pagemaps sketch for this LO. Patterned paper is Chatterbox, and the cardstock is Bazzill.

Now I'm off to run a few errands, and then get back on my scrappy table and create some more!

New Ebay Layout

After being pretty sick all week I finally got this LO done for ebay. I've had this paper for over a month and just procrastinated on getting it done for so long. Sharing more pages

These LO's are for challenges on one of my Yahoo! groups.

This was done with a swap that I had for a long time. I finally used it. I think these came out pretty good. At least I'm using up some of my stash on these LO's, which I'm super happy about.

This is the first LO I have done with this many photos on one 12x12. I'm pleased with the overall outcome on this one. I'm used to having more things on a page and less photos, so this was a big change for me. But... I like the way it turned out.

Busy Day....

It was a super busy day (let alone week). I had a field trip today with my youngest, and had one on Monday with my oldest. We went to the zoo on both trips. It was great, a little chilly out, but it was nice to be with them both on two different occasions (seperately).

I wasn't able to get any scrapping done today, and I'm not sure what the weekend will hold since it's the holiday. I'm hoping to squeeze some "me time" into the weekend somewhere and get some more scrapping done. I need to complete a few more challenges for MMFY, so I hope I can get them done by the 31st!

The boys will be out of school for the summer on the 30th. I can't believe the school year is over already. It feels like they just started a few weeks ago. Where does the time go?

Now I'm off to get some other household things done... maybe. I'm so pooped out from the day.

Layouts I've completed

This LO is for the journaling challenge on MMFY (www.makingmemoriesforyou.org). I used a kit from Keep in Touch (www.kitcardshop.com).

This is a card that I made for a COTM on one of my Yahoo! groups. I really liked this, so I will have to make myself one of these too.

This LO is for the scraplift challenge on MMFY. I really like how this turned out, and I used up some of my stash. That felt awesome to do!

Needless to say, I have actually gotten a few things accomplished in 2 days. I'm quite proud of myself! Now, I'm off to get some more done.

Been Trying....

I've been trying to get motivated, and just seemed to be unable to do so. However, I came across a super great forum at www.makingmemoriesforyou.org -- I think this has really sparked my creativity and I think I have found my all time fave scrapbooking forum!

Seriousness...

Now I'm really serious. I'm going to get this blog up and running. I will start right now! I'm determined to really get this going. I browse and stalk many blogs, and figured it was really time to get my own going. It such a great way to post your thoughts and a wide variety of things.

So with that said... I would like to thank ACOT for a great NSD weekend online crop. It really got my mojo flowing again. Here are a few layouts I completed for the challenges over at ACOT (www.acherryontop.com)

Ok... I cannot figure out how to get them to post so once I figure it out I will be posting them.

Ok... I got them to post but not where I want them! Ugh... I'll get it sooner or later. : )

The Time is Now

The time has come for me to get my blog going. There is a lot I would love to put on here, and there is a lot that I would like to do with it. So, now is the time that I do that.

Hopefully I can get this figured out here soon, and have something that looks good soon.

I Finally Did It....

I never thought that I would even try to enter the world of blogging, but guess what, I did! I wasn't too sure what to do with a "blog" or even what to say on a "blog", but I am beginning to think that I can figure all that out.

Here you will see the many sides of me. Things that I love to do from reading to drawing to scrapbooking, and everything in between.

It is going to take me some time to get this blog thing under my belt, but being the person that I am, I am not scared to jump in feet first and get the hang of it.

Now, I am off to do my 10 page research paper that is due this Sunday the 17th. Wish me luck! I sure need it to get done.
